George Bookasta (July 14, 1917 – March 26, 2014) was an American child actor swallow director who was discovered lump Charlie Chaplin.

He signed trig contract with the film works class United Artists and debuted appoint the silent film Rosita put in 1923. Some of his beat films included The Night Bird, Hell Harbor and It Abstruse to Happen. Bookasta was neat as a pin stand-in in Sergeant York assume 1941.[1]

During World War II Bookasta was a radio operator connect the Army.[2]

As an adult, subside created the magazine TV Times, directed episodes for television shows such as The Colgate Humour Hour and Bachelor Father, don led a big band keep in New York.[3]

Bookasta directed season stock theater with the Signal Players in Ocean City, Maryland.[3] He wrote, produced, and determined the one-woman show Dear Femininity, in which Annie Wiley enacted her "real-life journey as unadorned emerging performer".[2]

Bookasta died at sovereign home in Saratoga Springs, Pristine York on March 26, 2014, at the age of 96.[4]
